averita tagged me with this meme. 10 Things That Make You Happy...I don't have all that many people to pass along the meme, too, since I mainly created this thing as a M/A squeeing vehicle, so I reckon y'all are off the hook. :-P

1. I have the sweetest puppy dog in the whole universe!
2. Season 5 Martha and Aaron. Best. Ship. Ever.
3. Awesome FLOSSy friends! And the possibility of them coming to see me!
4. MST3K on youtube!
5. Finding out the MST guys are still doing commentary (www.rifftrax.com)
6. BIRTHDAY FIC!
7. Seeing Heart in concert twice this year, and Stevie Nicks in concert, too
8. I got my movie role back!
9. Weekly Jeannie, starting Oct. 15!
10. Playing the Nancy Wilson Signature Martin that Michelle and I share joint custody of.

Okay, I changed my mind...I want lostonbroadway, celticturtle, and firstlady1408 to do the meme. :-D

Sooooo...today's a good day!

My friend Lindsey called with good news--the movie that I was supposed to do is back up and running again, and they've found a new production company. AND the kicker is, that I get the part that I originally wanted!!! Woooo!

Also, she has opened up a salon in Monroe, and I'm going to go see her on Friday, and they she's going to go with me to see the guy that wants me to sing with him. I had met a guy at a music store that had me sing for him and wants me to do gigs with him, which is very exciting. So, we're going Friday to see his act, and touch base with him again. This would be such good experience!

Yay, life! *knocks wood*

1. Leave me a comment saying something random, like the lyrics from your current favourite song, or your favourite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

So, I've been making everyone do this over the weekend. It's pretty scarily accurate. My sister and I were talking about how we've both had to fight the same thing all our lives--that we're both pretty shy and introverted, but we've learned to fake the social thing just well enough for it to backfire on us. So people assume when we're quiet and hanging back, that we just don't want to talk to THEM. So then I spend WAY more time and energy than I'd like worrying about whether people think I'm snobby. When I care, that is. Most of the time, I just don't. :-) People. Can't live with them, can't...nope, that's about it.

Also, my INTPness explains why every computer geek in the world is attracted to me.

I no longer care about 24. Well, I still care about the characters that I love, that they ruined. But I could honestly care less about what happens in S7. This time last year, I was combing the message boards for spoilers. This year, I don't think they could do anything that would bring me back on board again. Unless it would be to pretend S6 never happened, and they started S7 six months from where S5 left off. That would work.

Also, just finished reading Harry Potter and the Death of the Franchise (don't worry, no spoilers!). It occurred to me that the appeal of Harry Potter is quite like the appeal of 24 when it's good: it's an amazing alternate universe where the hero is fallible, but ultimately goodhearted and right, and the supporting characters are just as interesting and loveable as the protagonist. You understand that the rules are different in that world, and you always manage to be surprised by the outcome. You know that that world is dangerous, that those in charge may or may not be trustworthy, and that your favorite characters are not guaranteed their safety, nor their lives. I'm just happy that HP did not disappoint.

So, it's not that I have all that much to say; I just feel bad for never posting anything. I never feel like I have anything interesting to say. :-P

First off, BIG CONGRATS to one Ms. Jean F. Smart for getting an Emmy nom this year! I thought Season 6 was a big travesty all the way around, but you can't say Jean didn't act her butt off in 6x13! LOOOOOVE HER. Why the whole world isn't bowing at her feet, I have no idea. She totally deserved to win last year, but the Stupid People Epidemic has reached Hollywood, and they are now in charge. *crosses fingers for this year*

In other news, I've been writing and recording songs with my guitar teacher! He has a multitrack recorder, and can lay all the individual tracks so it sounds like we have a band. :D It's GREAT fun singing into the big mic like an actual recording artist. I've done two so far, and am working on the third, which is a Bonnie Raitt-ish kind of blues/rock song. I'm trying to write enough for a cd. Mike has a friend that works at a radio station in Houston, and he wants to play them on the station. That would be so cool, I don't even know what to say--especially since I've basically been too shy to sing ALL MY LIFE. Anyhoo. :-) If anyone who hasn't heard the other two wants to hear, shoot me an email.

I think I'll save the rest for another post. I mean, this happens so rarely, I don't want to shoot the whole wad all at once. LOL.

Oh, lovely people! Guess what today is? Martha/Aaron day, of course!!!!!!!!

Man, I've held on to this obsession for 10 months now, and all I can say is, TPTB better make this GOOD. We're tired of "Remains of the Day." We want hot love! There had better be a kiss, or HEADS WILL ROLL. But Jean and Glenn are in it, so it will be electrifying. Will they be...THE PIERCES??????

They look so cute and couple-y in the previews! And how hot is Glenn in his new, non-SS suit outfit that shows off his slimmer physique. Hot, my friends. Of course, no need to even say how hot Jean is. She is the very definition of hot. Hot calls her for advice. It begs.

In other news, lostonbroadway and I are going to see Heart live in Orlando on May 7!!!!!! We have fanclub seats, which should be very near front and center. WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! lostonbroadway is the best roadtrip partner EVER, and the Sisters Wilson rule the rock universe as completely as Jean F. Smart rules the acting universe.

Okay, I now officially have the sickness going around where even songs you've known since birth now sound like they were written expressly for Martha and Aaron. Prime example: Read the lyrics to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" and try not to think of Martha and Aaron (after they've become an official couple). Read more...Collapse )

We wrapped last night. They let us go around 1am, but we saw the 2nd Assistant Director this morning and he said they were still filming until 4:30am. Glad it wasn't us! It was a really fun experience, and I'll let y'all know when it airs, so you can see my movie debut. I have such a crush on one of the actors. He would actually be really good on 24, b/c of his style of acting--he is very much like Gregory Itzin, in that you can sort of read in his eyes what he's thinking. He's a wonderful actor, and I had decided that I was going to tell him that if I got a chance to talk to him. Anyway, he struck up a conversation with me last night as he was leaving the dining hall, and he's just the sweetest. And he's totally my type. Unfortunately, we had to leave, and I won't have another chance to chat with him. :-( Such sadness. Oh, well.

I met some fantastic people on set, though. Good friends and good contacts. Yay for film! Now to get an agent!
